Can you ...  Use a computer efficiently?

The more comfortable you are with using email and Word (or equivalent), accessing information from the internet and databases, the more quickly you will settle into your course.  If you struggle in any of these areas, it is recommended that you seek support and practice as often as possible prior to commencing the course.

The course uses the Learning Management System Moodle to provide your course materials, and for interaction with other students and lecturers.  Have a look at  this link and read the information about using Moodle, there are video guides which explain how the system works.

Can you ...  Use the internet efficiently?

To access scholarly journal articles, you will need to search various databases, however a lot of good information is now available via the internet.

Practice your skills by looking at the Google Scholar link on the La Trobe University Library home page. Note: scholarly sites have the domain .gov or .edu
