Researching an enquiry
In your subject an enquiry might be a trigger case scenario, it might be a video , it might be a newspaper article or something entirely different. An enquiry is the beginning of a research project where you learn new skills and informaiton about a topic. Enquiry based learning is an effective way of learning and developing as a skilled health sciences practitioner. You can find out more about enquiry based learning as you progress through the course.
Your tutors and lecturers will have many suggestions to help you to get the most out of enquiry based learning.
One idea to consider is:
- Brainstorm everything you know about the topic.
- List all the questions and things you know you don't know about
- Work out a plan to fill in the gaps.
- Work together to investigate the enquiry. Find and evaluate information that supports your enquiry, Tease out new and different questions to fullly explore the enquiry.
- Make good use of the library resources to find the information you need.
