Requesting copy of book chapters and journal articles
La Trobe University students studying outside Australia can request copies* of book chapters and journal articles from La Trobe University Library Collections. This information will be scanned and sent to you electronically.
Please note that book loans, including loans from
other libraries, are not available to students living outside of
Postgraduate students are also eligible for electronic delivery of material held in other libraries.
You must register for this service. To register, select one of the following options:
- Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students
- Foundation Studies, Diploma and English Language Program Students

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students
First time users:
- Login to the Document delivery service using your University Username and Password, and
- Complete the Register your Eligibility for Remote Delivery online form
The Library's Document Delivery Service will send you an email confirming your access. Once you receive this email, you can begin requesting copy.

How to request copy
1. Search the Library Catalogue for details of the book chapter or check the availability of a journal using the Journal Title search option. For further help see the tabs/links - Finding Books or Finding Journal Articles
2. On the Library website, under Quick links select Document delivery.
3. Login to the Document Delivery service using your Username and Password.
4. Once logged in select the Create Request link. Enter the book chapter or journal article details and select the Submit button

First time users:
- Complete the Register your Eligibility for Remote Delivery online form

3. Select the Domain Other and enter your username and password.
4. Once logged in select the Create Request link. Enter the book chapter or journal article details and select the Submit button
