Where to get that book

Sadly we do not have everything, much as we would like to.  However, there are ways to get most titles.

Bonus +

Look up the title of the book in our catalogue and, if we do not have it, or it is out on loan select the button.  If it is available at one of the group of libraries participating the book will be sent to our library and you will collect it from the Hold Shelf in Reserve.  The time taken for the book to arrive varies considerably.  It is a good service if you are not needing the book urgently.

Interlibrary Loan

If the book is not available via the Bonus+ system you can fill out a request form for the book to be sent here from any library in Australia.  Log into our Document Delivery service using your university username and password, you will receive an email to let you know when the book has arrived for collection from the Inquiries desk.  You do not need to worry about where the book is coming from or if it is available in Australia - just put in your request and Document Delivery staff will let you know if there is a problem.

CAVAL Card

This card entitles you borrow books from any Victorian University Library, but they do not send the books you need to go to the library.

Order the book for the library

If the book is not available in Australia contact your Librarian and ask if it can be ordered for our collection.  Urgent takes 3 weeks and Priority orders take about 6 weeks. Fill out the request form
