General recommendations

Our recommendations for creating an effective reading list

  • Structure your list to be consistent with the subject LMS content by using sections

  • For online courses, include only resources that can be viewed online

  • Carefully consider the number of required readings that can be read within the set contact hours

  • Consider the overall number of resources students might reasonably engage with during a teaching period
