- METeORMETeOR is Australia’s repository for national metadata standards for health, housing and community services statistics and information developed by AIHW.
- Data StandardThe AIHW manages Australia's national health, community services and housing metadata items and standards, which provide the national infrastructure for metadata development.
- International Organization for StandardizationISO is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards.
- Standards Australia OnlineStandards Australia is Australia's peak Standards body which has developed many health-related standards including several for health informatics.
- Public Record Office VictoriaPROV is the archives of the Victoria Government publicly funded agencies and provides them with best practice records management advice, standards, policies and disposal authorities. Those relevant to health information can also be helpful to private health care agencies.

- Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health CareThe Commission was initially established in 2006 by the Australian, state and territory governments to lead and coordinate national improvements in safety and quality in health care.
- Better Care Victoria ( BCV)Better Care Victoria's mission is to enable and support timely and appropriate access to the highest quality of care for Victorians, through the identification, scaling and embedding of innovative practice across Victoria's health system.
- Australasian Association for Quality in Health Care (AAQHC)AAQHC supports organisations wanting to improve health outcomes in various ways including providing support and encouragement to individuals and organisations; and facilitating opportunities for communication and co-operation, and for ongoing education and development.
- Australian Council of Healthcare Standards (ACHS)ACHS is the peak health care organisation in Australia for development and measurement of standards for health care services.
- Quality Improvement Council (QIC)QIC (in Australia and New Zealand) promotes continuous quality improvement in health and community services through the provision of standards, accreditation programs and developmental resources.
- Australian Aged Care Quality Agency (AACQA)AACQA is the current accreditation in the Australian Government subsidised residential aged care sector and sets Accreditation Standards.
