Journal Article

• Authors’ surname, followed by no more than 2 initials
• Authors’ surnames are separated by a comma and a space
• Articles that have up to 6 authors, list them all
• Articles that have more than 6 authors, list the first 6 authors and then put - et al.
• Journal titles are abbreviated
• If possible, abbreviate page numbers, for example, 101-18
• State the volume number, no space followed by the issue number in brackets
• Provide the DOI (digital object identifier) if provided

For an electronic journal article

• include the web address
• You must state the date you cited the article, for example, [cited 2020 May 2]
• Add Internet in square brackets after the abbreviated journal title, for example, [Internet]
• Include the DOI after the URL at the end of the reference
