Being able to find, use and evaluate information to support your ideas or argument is an essential part of study success. You will need to learn about important sources and types of information, whether it is relevant, trustworthy and reliable, and how you might use them for your assessment task.

Google and Wikipedia

You will need to find information to help you complete assessments, but where do you start?  What about Google? This video explains that Google is useful to get some ideas about a topic but it is important to use academic sources, like those found in library databases, for university assignments. Analyse your topic

This learning module will show you how to analyse your assignment questions to get better search results - results that are unique to you. It includes a video of a lecturer explaining how to do this and some examples for you to practice.
