- CBCA Book of the Year AwardsLaunched in 1946, the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) awards aim to promote and celebrate quality Australian children's literature.
- YABBA Best Book AwardsLaunched in 1985, the Young Australians Best Book Awards (YABBA) aim to increase engagement of children with Australian books.
International Awards
- The CILIP Carnegie & Kat Greenaway Children's Book AwardsThe Carnegie Medal (launched in 1936) for outstanding book written in English for children and young adults, and the Kate Greenaway Medal (launched in 1955) for distinguished illustration in a children's book, are the UK's oldest and most prestigious children's book awards.
- The Caldecott MedalLaunched in 1938, the Caldecott medal is awarded to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
- The Newbery MedalThe annual Newbery medal has been awarded since 1922 to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
- New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young AdultsIn their current form since 1997, the national awards celebrate quality NZ children's literature.
