Quiz

Quiz

There are many different types of quizzes in H5P.

  • True/False

A simple and straightforward content type that can be incorporated throughout the text to check knowledge, or combined into other content types such as Course Presentation. A more complex question can be created by adding an image or a video.

    • The questions should present quick and easy wins for the reader.
    • Design for reinforcing the user’s understanding, not for formal assessment.
    • Ensure that most of your answers to the questions are “true” so that your questions don’t accidentally reinforce incorrect information.
    • True or false questions become boring very quickly. Include 3-5 questions only in a quiz.
    • Avoid double negatives and confusing wording.

  • Multiple Choice

Multiple Choice questions can be an effective assessment tool. The learner is given immediate performance feedback. The H5P Multiple Choice questions can have a single or multiple correct options per question.

    • Use multiple choice immediately after the content to check understanding.
    • Use a multiple choice as a knowledge check at the beginning of the chapter to enhance engagement.
    • Don’t try and increase the difficulty of the question by confusing wording or changing units of measurement etc.
    • Questions should be easy to get right, with the skill level of your audience in mind.
    • Avoid negatives and double negatives where possible

  • Quiz (Question Set)

Question Set is your typical quiz content type. It allows the learner to solve a sequence of various question types. You can combine many different question types like Multiple ChoiceDrag and drop and Fill in the blanks in a Question set. As an author there are many settings you can use to make it behave just the way you want it to. You may for instance customize the Question set with background images and define a pass percentage for the learner.
