  1. Author(s) of article
  2. Title of article  -  Use single quotation marks.
  3. Newspaper title -  Put in italics; include the word 'The' in the title of the newspaper if the word 'The' appears in the masthead, e.g. 'The Age' and 'Herald Sun'.
  4. Place of publication -  Put in parentheses and use city.
  5. Date -  in full after place of publication in parentheses with a comma between.
  6. Pinpoint
  • If the newspaper article is obtained from an online source such as Factiva do not give the web address in the citation. Simply cite the newspaper article using the above conventions.
