Overview of academic profiles

Academic profiles can be found by searching from the La Trobe University home page. They can also be found by browsing or searching from the Academic Profiles website. There are top and side navigation bars on each academic profile page, and a general navigation panel at the bottom of each page on the site.

To return to the main search page at any time, click the La Trobe University icon on the top left.

The top navigation bar enables you to select to display sections of the researcher profile:

About tab displays biography, academic and non-academic positions, qualifications and availability (e.g. Media Enquiries, Supervision etc.). Academics enter this information via My Publications.

Research Outputs tab is where all publications and other research outputs are displayed. This information will upload automatically from My Publications. This page can be sorted by title, date and type using the sort buttons. Items that you have selected in My Publications as "Favourite" will appear at the top of the page.

Research tab is where grants and other funded research is dislayed. This information will upload automatically from the PRIME Researcher portal. Academics can use the new "Research Interests" section on this page to construct their research narrative and include information about their research that is not captured by PRIME Researcher portal. This is entered via My Publications. Items that you have selected in My Publications as "Favourite" will appear at the top of the page.

Teaching tab displays teaching activities. Academics can use the new "Teaching Interests" section at the top of this page to include information about their teaching activities, e.g. teaching philosophy, subjects taught etc. This is entered via My Publications. Items that you have selected in My Publications as "Favourite" will appear at the top of the page.

Professional Experience tab displays details of professional activities selected in My Publications such as Editorials, non-research presentations, Broadcast interviews, Text interviews, Committee membership, Fellowship, Membership, Event administration etc.

Researchers can "Favourite" items in My Publications to appear first in the Research Outputs, Research, and Teaching displays.

The red side panel has links to researcher contact information, media (YouTube videos), any web links, and most importantly a link at the bottom to log in to My Publications.
